A Fresh Twist on Party Styling

One of the things I love most about floral styling is creating something completely unique for each celebration.

Recently, I was asked to style a child's lemon-themed birthday party with a slightly different brief – instead of a traditional birthday cake, the family wanted a beautiful centrepiece that reflected the fresh, vibrant theme of the day.

Using real lemons, fresh berries and seasonal flowers, I created a statement arrangement for the centre of the table that became the focal point of the celebration. The bright yellow lemons added a playful pop of colour, while the berries and flowers brought texture, softness and a natural, summery feel.

It was a lovely reminder that celebration styling doesn't always have to follow tradition. Sometimes it's the unexpected details that make an event feel truly personal and memorable.
